We recently wrapped filming on the medium-length film “Wind from West”, a historical motorcycle road movie about an escape from East Germany. Almost two weeks of shooting across Saxony and Hesse flew by, and we can’t wait to see the finished film!

The film follows its protagonist Wolfgang (played by Adrian Bräunig) in 1957 as he makes his way from East Germany to the West, hoping to start a new life there – all on his beloved Jawa 350.
Filming took place partly in Saxony and partly in Hesse, with stunning historical locations, fantastic costumes and plenty of riding scenes – which, of course, I particularly enjoyed!
“Wind from West” is currently in post-production and is expected to begin its festival run following the premiere. I’ll share any dates here as soon as they are announced.
